HOW THE MAGIC STARTED

They both met at the Federal University of Technology Minna. As fate will have it they met during a meeting of Offa Student Union on the campus.....

This is what the bride have to say.....

We met by chance, became friends by faith and we are getting married through Allah's love and permission. It all started like a joke on the 19th February 2010 during my first year in Federal University of Technology, Minna.

At first, I never knew it was going to this level, I was like who will date "this one" because then, my intention was not to enter any relationship until I have a G.P. but he was so adamant that I had no choice than to give him a trial and as God will have it, he was able to convince me.

Meeting him was a great avenue for me to learn alot of things about relationship, he taught me ho to love and care for someone because he is indeed a caring friend and i believe he will make a great husband. He has a big heart and he forgives easily no matter the offence and very generous. Although we both have our lapses but yet we give thanks to Almighty Allah for giving us the previledge to remain firm in our relationship through the test of time despite all odds.

My Sincere appreciation goes to Br. Abdulgafar (Mr. Log), Br. Ismael (Jackie) my parents and siblings, my dear friends, Halima, Ganiyat, Funmi, the entire Jumbolite, a senior wife like a sister; Mum Dave, My brother in-law, Dad Dave for their advice and words of encouragement and every other people who are too numerous to be mentioned that have pioneered towards the success of this relationship. Thank you and God Bless you all.

THE GROOM'S VERSION

We met on February 19th 2010 at Exactly 6:15pm. I remembered because it is a very special date and time in my life.

Abdulgafar, Ismail and I were strolling in the Bosso Campus with the intention of hooking up with any available girl. Funny enough, has fate will have it, on our way we met Balqis, Ganiyat and Ermmm, (cant remember the third girls name).

On sighting Balykis, I knew she is the one. Abdulgafar greeted her, she happened to be Gafar's student in Offa (Computer Class) and also Ismail is also a friend to her brother (what a coincidence).

Immediately I told Gafar to link me with her. Gafar called her back to do a proper introduction and he also seized the oppourtunity to inform her of Offa Student Union (OSU) meeting which is scheduled to hold on the same day at DBblock. She promised to attend, so I was the earliest to arrive at the venue of the meeting, so eager to meet her.

I waited for her to arrive but she didnt show up.After the meeting, I asked Gaffy to call her and inform her that we will be coming to hostel to pay her a visit. On getting to the hostel, she came out to meet us, we had a long discussion and finally I told her of my intentions. She replied with a capital NO, stating that I'm wicked, I'm in 300 Level already, and she is just a fresher with no G.P yet. She said her parent send her to school to study not to follow men around.

I tried my best to convince her, that the feeling is real, that i love her and meant good, i even offered to tutor her in all the major courses in 100 level (you go fear guru, that's the power of love).

With the help of God and my close friend Kenny, i was able to keep the promise. We teach her Mat112, Mat111, Chm111 and so on. Gradually, she started developing interest, slowly but.. with the time the magic happened.

After several years of dating, I proposed to her... precisely on the 17th November 2014 at my cousin's apartment in Offa at Atan Oba area, and here we are today, with the mercy and will of Allah, we are about to get married.

My special thanks goes to God Almighty for making me come across Balqis (Ayofe, that's the name i call her). I have never regretted it and I pray never to regret meeting her. I also pray to Allah to continue to increase our love and bless our marriage with blessed and God fearing children and most of all.. an happy home.

I will be an ingrate if i fail to acknoledge certain people who Allah used to make the relationship work. Firstly, Abdulgafar (Mr. Log) for introducing me to her, and Ismail (my wing-man) for the brotherly and mature advices. Kenny (my guru and bossom friend) for the helping hand in the tutoring, which I must admit went a long way in making her decision easier.

Not forgetting to mention Balqis friends who also contributed to the sucess of the relationship; Ganiyat, Halimat, Funmi, to mention a few and also my comrades and fellow Jumbolites; Alabe, Ope, Fatai, Malik and the entire jumbolites for the love, care and hospitality showed to Baliqis anytime she visits. And most especially, my roommate of five years; Sanusi, (the only gentle Ebira boy I'v ever met) for his endurance, because I know I'm not that easy to stay with.

Ohh!.. I almost forgot Mrs. Ayo Lawal (my sister-in-law) and councilor.. (Hayway Nig Limited) God bless you ma. My business partner Hassan Oladeji, a.k.a anti-virus, you are highly thanks for you advice on women and business... not forgetting my spiritual leader.. Ibro Makanaki... my senior in both secondary school and university but still my very close friend. God bless you and your home sire.

To all my collegues in advance group.... I'm highly grateful.....
